Women's health innovation, Morocco

🇲🇦

Morocco

Morocco's women's health innovation is concentrated in maternal and cancer-screening technology rather than a broad consumer femtech scene. Its flagship, Rabat-based DeepEcho, won U.S. FDA 510(k) clearance for AI fetal ultrasound in 2025 and signed a national partnership with the Ministry of Health to pilot AI-assisted pregnancy scans in public hospitals. Alongside cervical-cancer AI startup DataPathology and a growing set of fertility clinics, the ecosystem is anchored by local VCs (UM6P Ventures, Al Mada Ventures) and large donor programs (World Bank, UNICEF-KOICA) targeting rural maternal health. The country has not yet produced a scaled menstrual-health or reproductive-health consumer platform.
